How to send your food back politely

So you go out to eat and your food wasn't prepared the way you asked it to be...there is absolutely nothing wrong about this it's just the way you go about it.  Try not to make a big deal about it or  make your server feel bad about it.  Usually it's the cooks fault and they weren't paying attention to the way the order was put in.  If you notify them in a polite manner it is never a problem to send food back.

  1. Even if I am polite about it, I still feel wicked bad about it and i feel like they're going to spit on it or some other form of corruption on my food. That's why I just shut up and eat whatever food I get.

  2. I'm glad you posted this, when my food is wrong when I go out to eat I usually don't say anything because I don't want to blame the server for the mistake. But now I know how to handle it.

  3. People act offended when their food is messed up!!! Also, when you bring the food back to the kitchen most of the time the cooks are pissed that they have to make it again.....should have just done it right the first time.
